The WORDS 2011 conference takes place in the main building of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (Google street view photo). This building is located in the very center of Prague and easily reachable by public transport from any part of Prague.

There are two types of tickets – non-transfer (24CZK) and transfer (32CZK). The non-transfer ticket is valid for 30 minutes The transfer ticket is valid for 90 minutes, with any number of transfers possible. You validate such a ticket only in the first bus/tram/metro you use. You can also buy a one-day (110CZK), or three-day (310CZK). ticket. Tickets can be bought in PID information centers within the airport (Terminal 1, Terminal 2), in newsstands/tobacconists all over the city or in yellow machines at the bus stops and in metro stations (however you would need Czech coins in this case).
The Prague Airport (Ruzyně) has two terminals: Terminal 1 (Inter-Continental flights including flights to the United Kingdom, Ireland, North America (USA, Canada), Middle-East, Africa and Asia) and Terminal 2 (Flights within the EU Schengen Agreement member countries and other European destinations).
For the quickest transport to the city centre or the nearest metro station (airport is not directly accessible by train or metro) using public transport, take either bus no. 119 or no. 100:
- bus 119: Airport ↔ Metro A Dejvicka, intervals of 5 to 20 minutes, travel time 25 to 35 minutes
- bus 100: Airport ↔ Metro B Zlicin, intervals of 15 to 30 minutes, travel time 18 minutes
The organizing institutions have limited amount of funds to cover the accommodation expenses in a student dormitory for students and young researchers; there are still a few free rooms. If you are interested, please write as soon as possible.
Unfortunatelly, we do not have rooms in university hotels available for the participants of the conference. However, there is a plenty of hotels in a walking distance from the conferece site so it should be easy for you to find a hotel room on your own.
Attention! Hotels listed below are in the walking distance from the former conference site, i.e., about 20 minutes by tram from the current conference site!
